Edison Academy is proud to have been one of the sponsors of the 2024 Future Fest for area high school students. Over 200 students representing Bettendorf, Davenport, North Scott, Pleasant Valley, Clinton, and Maquoketa schools attended. Students were given the opportunity to meet with Representatives from over 50 future employers, colleges and universities, trade schools, unions, and service organizations, with the goal of giving them the opportunity to apply for training after high school, submit applications on-site for jobs in the area and beyond, and to explore available services to young adults in and around the Quad Cities.
The event was held at the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency in Bettendorf. Plans for Future Fest 2025 are already underway, with the hope that even more Vendors can be included. Feedback from students, staff, and presenters has all been extremely positive, and we look forward to being a co-sponsor again next year. #BettPride #BETTerTogether
