Each class did a fabulous job, and they even had a special audience—our Kindergarten students—who enjoyed the show in the cafeteria. What a fun way to share learning across grade levels! #BettPride

This event is a great opportunity to learn about recreational programs and resources available in our community for students with individualized learning needs.

The grant will also fund an electric mower to help create a trail through the prairie and forest areas maintained by our students. This space will serve as an outdoor classroom, educating both students and our community about the importance of native landscapes in protecting water quality.
We’re proud of our students for leading the way in environmental stewardship!

The BHS Instrumental Music Department recently added new instruments thanks to a 2025 SCRA Grant, including sousaphones, a drum set, chimes, xylophone, and string instruments for 4th graders.
These additions are already making an impact—on the field at State Marching Festival and in award-winning jazz performances—and will support students for years to come. #BETTerTogether #SCRAIowa

BCSD’s Haleigh Hoyt and Sara Husser recently presented at the Iowa Work-Based Learning Conference, showcasing how our district is expanding career exploration for BHS students through real-world experiences, CTE courses, local partnerships, and individualized planning.

The BHS yearbook staff has been named a Pacemaker Finalist at the Minneapolis JEA and National High School Journalism Convention—one of the highest honors in scholastic journalism.
Their 2025 yearbook, “Revision,” was selected as one of just 58 books nationwide to earn this recognition, highlighting the very best in yearbook excellence. Bettendorf was also the only Iowa school to receive this distinction.
Congratulations to the talented staff members who attended: Claire Franzman, Elle Harson, Nehemiah Rivers, and Payton Terronez. Your dedication and creativity continue to make Bulldog pride shine! 🐾 #BettPride
